August 2019: Denver Metro Market Update

The latest housing market statistics from REcolorado show seasonal trends, as home buyers and sellers across Denver are preparing for fall. We continue to see higher inventory levels in the Denver Metro area, bringing more choices to buyers. The count of active listings of homes for sale at the end of August was 9,511, 14% higher than this time last year. Homes also spent a little more time on the market, averaging 39 days on the market during August.

Prices have come down slightly from the peak summer average of $502,460, with an average sold price of $487,205 in August. This remains 3% higher compared to last year. Prices are continuing to increase, but at a more moderate pace.
